Privacy Policy

LOZcoves.com is a small community site for owners in the coves of Lake of the Ozarks. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

• When you sign up: your name, a username, your email address, a password (stored scrambled; we cannot read it) and your property address.
• When you chat: the messages you post in your covette chat.
• When you use the Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Automatically: basic visit statistics, such as which pages are viewed, and a login cookie that keeps you signed in.

How we use it

• To confirm you are an owner in the covette and approve your account.
• To run the chat and send you site emails, such as your approval notice.
• To answer your questions.
• To count how many homes have joined.

Who can see it

• Other members of your covette see your name and your chat messages.
• Your covette captain and the site administrator also see your email address and property address.
• The public sees only the count of homes that have joined.

We will never sell your information.

Services we rely on

• The site is hosted by Bluehost.
• Visit statistics and image delivery are provided by Jetpack (WordPress.com).
• The map on the Chat page comes from Google Maps, which may set its own cookies.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to correct your information or delete your account and what we hold about you. Use the Contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page.
